Credit Life/Disability:  makes loan payments for you in the event of death or temporary/permanent disability. Premiums are built into your loan payment. You can take advantage of single or joint life protection, disability protection, or both. These products release your family from the burden of extra debt in times of crisis. Dental and Vision Card Coverage Available:  In cooperation with the California Credit Union League, SDPECU offers Member Select Cigna Dental options and VSP Vision Card Plans.  Member Select coverage is designed for both employed and retired credit union members who do not have access to employer group plans.  For more information, call (888) 293-4903.                                                                                      

Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI) - Offers you added protection on new or used car purchases. It acts as an extended warranty for car repairs.

Why are smart buyers signing up for MBI protection?:

Factory warranty coverage's vary, and most breakdowns occur after the warranty expires. However, our MBI protection plans will continue to provide valuable benefits for every major assembly of your vehicle. 

Repair facilities can send the bill for authorized repairs directly to the plan administrator.  You pay only a small deductible per breakdown. Repairs can be performed anywhere in the United States or Canada. 

You can choose from two levels of coverage's. 

You save money now because the dealer’s service contract program can’t compare to the MBI plan’s coverage and low price. 

You save money in the long run because it is the easiest way to plan ahead for the future and to protect yourself from expensive repairs. 

You can include the price of the Protection Plan in your total financing package.

Filing a claim is easy with our MBI protection plan. You just follow 2 easy steps:

Protect your vehicle from further damage that could result from continued operation under certain situations. For example: activated warning lights such as oil or temperature lights, indicate you should stop operating your vehicle immediately. 

Just take your vehicle to a mechanic and request a diagnosis of the breakdown.
